It's getting colder here in the Chicago area (okay, not very cold, but I know it's coming). I've rummaged through the closet and found the mid-weight coat I wear when we're at that in-between time of year. The trees are golden and gorgeous, the summer fruit is gone at the grocery store (except for the anemic looking type that is sold year round). I've got lots of books to read. Now, all I need is soup.
I'll admit to being lazy and just opening a can most of the time. But I'm feeling that urge to actually cook soup and bake bread, so I've been looking for some good recipes. Here are links to some of the ones I'm considering.
Creamy Chicken and Mushroom Soup
Slow Cooker Parmesan Soup
The Best Broccoli Cheese Soup
Easy Lentil Potato Soup
Beefy Tomato Soup
If you have better (or simply other) choices, tell me about them in the comments below. I'd love to hear about your favorite soups.
Enjoy your soup and your books!
