My Smile for the Day

I have never ever put a bumper sticker on my car, and I've seen some really bad (or offensive or just creepy) ones, but I saw this on a pickup truck as I was driving down the road today. The fact that it was on an uber-macho big truck made me smile even more. (I'm sure it's not new, but I hadn't seen it before).

Saw one recently that said, "Don't hurry; be happy."

The only time I allowed bumper stickers was when both of our kids were presented with them during a school assembly. They said (something like) "A Proud Parent of a Terrific Kid.: I refused to put them on until both kids had earned them (as I didn't think it fair to the other child if only one went on the car's bumper at first.

You are a better person than I. We kept our kids' bumper stickers and made sure that they knew we were very proud of them, but we told them the stickers would have to be taped inside the window. I didn't want to have to face scraping them off the bumper. (Of course, when they ran in the big race downstate, we decorated the car windows with car chalk or whatever it's called for the ride down. That stuff was murder to remove. Who knew)?
