The Olympics Are Coming: A View from Above Brazil

Okay, I'll confess that I'm not the biggest sports viewer. I have my favorites (tennis), but mostly I'm a fair weather viewer. I watch if my local teams are in the playoffs, and I know that drives true and faithful fans crazy. For that, I apologize, but we all have our favorite pastimes, and mine tend toward other activities (reading, movies, walking, travel when I can, enjoying the outdoors...). Sometimes I'll watch soccer (or football, if you prefer). I watch American football, but I feel a bit guilty because of the violence. I'm almost ashamed to admit that I do watch golf, which many people consider supremely boring, but I snooze during baseball (sorry, baseball lovers). I'm not sure why one holds my attention and the other doesn't, but it just does. Maybe it's because I grew up with baseball fans, and there was always a lot of baseball on the television.

On the other hand, the Olympics are interesting because it's on such a grand scale and because I get to see sports I never pay attention to most of the year. I'm not sure how well things will go this year with so many problems surfacing, but I know I'll tune in now and then. How about you?

This video from A View from Above's YouTube Channel appears to be, in part, an advertisement for a longer show, but I like the aerial views enough to pass it along. I do enjoy watching those flyovers of beautiful places.

Have a great day!
