The Scientifically, Mathematically Best Way to Cut a Cake

I haven't been eating a lot of cake lately, but if I were, I'm sure I would cut the cake in the usual fashion (it's just easier). However, apparently, that's not the best way of cutting a cake. This is:

It does make sense, but seems like a lot of bother (although, maybe it's a good thing to make cake cutting a lot of bother when one is dieting. That's certainly something for me to think about).

Have a wonderful day!

It DOES make sense. *I*, on the other hand, was told to simply place Saran Wrap (or its equivalent) down the cut (wedge) sides of the cake.
Let's get serious here. Whenever *I* bake a cake, it doesn't last long enough to warrant all this fuss (and broken elastic bands, LOL)!
Thanks for sharing!

Laney4, LOL on your cake not lasting long enough for all this fuss! The Saran Wrap makes much more sense if a cake is going to be eaten quickly, doesn't it?
