LeVar Burton's Reading Rainbow Kickstarter Project

This is almost old news, and I'm not sure how international it is, but a few days ago Levar Burton kicked off a Kickstarter campaign to bring back Reading Rainbow (in a more universal digital sense). The campaign took off like gangbusters, Burton was featured on an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit, which was an outstanding success, and his Kickstarter reached its goal of 1 million dollars in an astounding 11 hours. As of this campaign has passed the 3 million dollars mark.

Here's the video that started off the campaign (it's also on the Kickstarter page):

Here's an interview with Burton a couple of days after the campaign began:

And here's Levar Burton on the Reading Rainbow YouTube channel talking about How Trash is Recycled

It's all pretty amazing and wonderful at the same time. Reading can make a huge difference in a child's life. I'm so happy that this project has taken flight.
