The Rest of the Story - Halloween continued

Blogger appeared to truncate my last post (probably because I had two Facebook links), so here are the photos of this year's Halloween birds.

We try to find gourds with the right curve, but that isn't always easy to do. The one with the longest neck here appears to be checking out his own...unmentionables (maybe because he doesn't have any)?

All lined up and waiting to go outside (if I put them out too early, the squirrels will have eaten them before the trick or treaters get to see them).

  1. Brought a smile to my face. Those are cute!
Better finish getting ready for Halloween here. I've made a bolero-style paper bag jacket, which is about to be decorated with scrapbooking supplies. After that I plan on a flared skirt that gets the last strip of (downward) masking tape when I get to badminton tonight. These, combined with the tiara I had on hand, should work well for my Paper Bag Princess costume. Here's hoping it's a trick AND a treat! Happy Hallowe'en!

  3. Mary, I'm glad you like them! They're really my husband's babies. He makes a special trip to a local farmer's market every year just to find the right gourds.
