A True Love Story Set to Music
Green Shoe Studios is located in Illinois (in East Peoria), and every year they have a singer-songwriter contest, but this year something unusual happened. They received song lyrics from a 96-year-old man named Fred with a handwritten song dedicated to his wife of 75 years who had recently passed away. And though his lyrics didn't fit the contest's guidelines, they decided to turn his lyrics into a professionally recorded song.

Really enjoyed that (and forwarded the link to friends too). Thought they did a lovely job; stayed true to the lyrics quite well. Too bad there weren't more lines to the song/poem, but sometimes less is more.
Many thanks.
Elaine, your comment ("sometimes less is more") is so true. At first I wanted a few more lyrics, too, but then I realized that these few words are what's in his heart. They're all that's needed.
This struck me as the kind of story that's meant to be shared. The video was a bit longer than I like to post here, but sometimes you need time to tell a story and get it right. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I appreciate it.
