THAT was enjoyable to watch (and listen to). Ohhh, to have that flexibility in life. My knees creak when I go down the steps most of the time, and I just can't imagine jumping up and down so easily like they did. Amazing to watch. Thanks.
Elaine, you and me both! When I get up in the morning I have to stretch. Otherwise, I can't get close enough to the ground to pick up the morning newspaper. So embarrassing if someone is walking past and I'm swatting at the paper just out of reach (or worse, if I've knelt down and am having trouble getting back up).
A few years back, I visited the home where I grew up when it was for sale (and empty). I was on the back stoop checking out the (same) view and automatically jumped off and onto the ground beside me (from about five steps above). OMG! It was automatic, as I'd done it for years as a kid, but now? As an adult? Not a good move. Thankfully, I didn't plummet down on my knees or back and actually did just fine, but it scared the bejeebers out of me and gave me a (not-so-good) jolt!
Ouch! When we go hiking, I tend to slide on my rear down drops that I once would have jumped down.
