A No Electricity Needed Vending Machine

After the earthquake in Japan, it became clear that sometimes technology (and electricity) just don't exist. That's why this crank vending machine was invented. It looks like a tremendous amount of work, but I suppose in a pinch, it would do the trick.

Came over from CITR to ask you a question.
How did your aunt start getting the free audio-books? I have a friend that is blind and in a nursing home. She'd LOVE to be able to use this service, but we don't know how to get it going for her nor whom to contact. The nursing home is in a rural area, understaffed in the "helping" dept, so nothing has been done there.

Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks so much.

Darlene, your message came in to my email and I answered it (I think) via email. If it doesn't come through to you, nudge me again. I can answer here. (It's via a program that the Library of Congress runs if anyone else needs that information).
