It's That Day Again - Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I'm of Irish descent (partly), but on March 17th, there's a little Irish in everyone. Although all too often known as just a day for drinking, I think of it as a day to listen to some music and have fun. So here's my annual posting of Danny Boy, by the Lyons Township High School choir (it's a lovely song, but I always like listening for the umbrella dropping. It was raining that day, the church where the concert was held has wonderful acoustics, the choir was in fine form, everything was going great, and then right behind us, someone's umbrella slid off the pew, making a clunking sound). (The taping of the music, by the way, was done by the high school's AV department, not by us).

I hope your day was great! (Still St. Patrick's Day here, but yours must be over by now). (I think)?

How lovely! A favorite of ours. A dear friend, who has since passed away, Lew Hubbard, would sing Danny Boy in our church for St. Patrick's day. What a wonderful Irish tenor he was, even into his 80's. He is missed. Thanks, Myrna. Sherry

Sherry, I'm so glad you liked it. It's a favorite of ours. Your friend sounds wonderful, and to be singing into his 80's...what a gift.
