More Cinema 2011

This time by kees van dijkhuizen. I know it's another montage of movies when I just posted one, but I'm always fascinated by which movies and which clips are chosen. And in this case, kees included a very cool link to the movie titles, including the times that match up with the video, so if  you see something that looks intriguing, you can figure out what movie the clip is from.

I'll admit that I love movies, and if I had more money and time, I'd go to the theater more often. As it is, I watch a lot of DVDs.

I thought this year was not a great year for movies. I went maybe 3 times all up. I love DVD's I have some that I 'watch' as I knit or sew etc.

Mary, I have to agree. That's part of the reason why I like these montages. There are independent films I may have missed and might want to watch on DVD, but as far as the bigger movies went, 2011 didn't appear to be a stellar year. OTOH, I've seen some great trailers for movies due out in 2012, so next year will (hopefully) be better.

We watch a lot of DVDs, but there's this charming old theater nearby with a big screen and a man who plays the organ before the movies on the weekend (he descends beneath the stage as the movie begins). So, when we find a movie that will benefit from the big screen experience, it's worth the trip.

I thought maybe the movie titles would be on the screen at the same time if you scrolled over it, so I was surprised to see an actual list typed out (like tags on FB).
Got a kick out of "Idles" of March for George Clooney's movie. They might want to edit their typing before putting it online for others to read. (Can you tell I edit for a living?)
PS, I too received my GC email, although I haven't opened it up yet (re work constraints today). Many thanks (again), Myrna!
Okay ... I have ten more minutes before my break is over....

Elaine, LOL on the "Idles" of March (seriously, though, if you ever see errors in my blog, send me an email and yell at me. I often throw these up quickly, and mistakes slip in. Some I catch myself and I go back and edit, but half the time I don't look at the post again once it's up. I just read a blog post where the blogger used the word "quite" for "quiet." My fingers were itching to tell her, but since I don't know her, I was afraid she would be offended. Just putting out a notice here to everyone: I won't be offended. Fire away! I can always edit a post even if it's been up since the beginning of time...or at least the beginning of this blog.

And as you can see, errors slip into my comments, too (which I can 't change without deleting). Somewhere there's an end to that parenthetical phrase in my last comment. LOL
